Save your progress with Sign in with Apple
Your game is saved on your iPhone and on our server automatically, even without signing in. To be able to get it back on another iPhone, link it to your Apple account:
- Open the game and tap the Settings button.
- Tap Sign in with Apple and confirm with Face ID or your passcode.
- On a new iPhone, install Taverna Tales, open Settings and sign in with the same Apple account. Your saved game is offered to you; tap Continue.
We only receive an anonymous Apple account identifier. The game never asks for your name or email.
Restore purchases
Everything you buy, gems and the Season Pass, is added to your saved game. It moves with your save when you sign in with Apple on a new iPhone, so there is no separate restore button to find.
If a purchase didn't arrive: make sure you're online, close the game completely and open it again. The game finishes any purchase Apple has approved. If it still hasn't arrived after that, email us with the order ID from your Apple receipt and we'll sort it out.
Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Delete your account
You can delete your account at any time inside the game:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete.
This deletes your account and its saved game from our server, and your iPhone starts a new game. It cannot be undone. Purchase records are kept without any link to you, only for accounting. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account. If you can no longer open the game, email us and we'll delete it for you.
Report a bug
Found something broken or odd? We'd love to hear about it. Email support@tavernatales.com with:
- what happened, and what you expected to happen
- a screenshot or screen recording, if you can
- your iPhone model, iOS version and the game version (bottom of Settings)
Crashes are reported to us automatically, so if the game closed unexpectedly, we are probably already looking into it.
Playing offline
Taverna Tales works without a connection. Your progress is saved on your iPhone and synced to our server the next time you're online. To buy gems or a pass, watch a reward video or sign in with Apple, you need to be online.

What is Taverna Tales?
Taverna Tales is a cozy merge-2 puzzle game with a story. You merge ingredients into dishes, serve the customers of a seaside taverna and spend what you earn to restore the taverna and the little Aegean town of Olive Bay, one chapter at a time.
When and where can I play it?
Taverna Tales is coming to the App Store in 2026, for iPhone only (iOS 17.0 or later). It is not available for iPad. The button at the top of this page turns into a download link on launch day.
Is Taverna Tales free?
Yes. The whole story is free to play. Optional gem packs and a Season Pass with Gold and VIP rewards are sold in the App Store, but you never need to pay to finish the story.
Are there ads?
Only if you choose. Taverna Tales has no banners and no ads that interrupt play. In a few places you can watch a short video for a small bonus, such as 20 energy; you never have to.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Taverna Tales works fully offline, on a plane, a ferry or a beach with no signal. Only the optional reward videos need a connection. When you're back online, your game is saved to our server in the background.
Is it like Gossip Harbor?
If you enjoy merge-2 games like Gossip Harbor, you'll feel right at home: tap generators, merge two of a kind, fill orders. Taverna Tales puts that loop in a sunny Aegean bay, with a warm family story and a restoration to finish in every chapter.
How do I keep my progress on a new iPhone?
Open Settings in the game and tap Sign in with Apple. Your game is then linked to your Apple account, and signing in on another iPhone brings it back, including everything you bought. We never see your name or email.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can start playing straight away; the game creates an anonymous account for your save. Signing in with Apple is optional and only needed to move your game between phones.
Which languages does it support?
English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. The game follows your iPhone's language, and you can change it any time in Settings.
Is it suitable for children?
Taverna Tales is a gentle, family-friendly game with no violence, but it is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. The age rating is shown on the App Store page.
How do I delete my account?
In the game, open Settings and tap Delete account. This removes your account and your saved game from our server. See our privacy policy for details.
