The story of Olive Bay and the Blue Door
A family taverna, a village by the sea and a summer that changes everything.
How it begins
Ten years have passed since Iris last spent a summer in Olive Bay, and it still smells of thyme. Her grandfather's taverna, the Blue Door, has been closed for years: the terrace is overgrown, the door hangs crooked and the old tables are buried under leaves.
Grandpa Arthur is overjoyed to see her, and her husband Hugo, walk up the path. Together they decide to open the Blue Door again, one task at a time. Soon Iris's little sister Lily arrives to help, and the whole village drifts in to watch, advise and get in the way.
Not everyone is pleased. Mr. Knox, a businessman with big plans, would love to turn the taverna into a hotel. And when a famous food critic announces he is coming for dinner, Grandpa's old recipe book turns out to be missing some very important pages.
